If you play Evil Genius 2, this is a basic guide to some of the more common problems that I have seen people complain about in discussions.

Tips for Evil Genius 2

I can't find minions on the world stage.

Minions don't just appear on the world stage like EG1.

If you open the objectives screen and click on the side story tab at the top, you will be presented with a list of side stories. If one is for recruiting henchmen, it will tell you. Choose the henchmen side story you want and then they will appear on the world stage.

Usually as a large rotating icon with arrows pointing at it and the silhouette of a head.

Go down to the lowest level to get the superweapon

Dig down to the lowest level to find the super weapon.

The text for this needs some redrafting as you don't need to dig down to the lowest level to find the super weapon.

Every map has a big cesspool somewhere, todOr what you need to do is build a connecting corridor to complete this objective.

I can't put up stairs

Stairs are a bit tricky where they are placed, but they do NOT need research from T3 and more to place.

If you dice that you need hardened mining etc, then the problem is not your research, but the location of your stairs.

You should reconsider their location and place them in a place where the lightest and darkest colored land is on your map in TODOS the floors you want to reach.

As an example, on the map of the third island I have managed to place a set of stairs that connects todthe possible floors.

Turning the camera is awkward

On this I partially agree.

However, when not in build mode if you are struggling with rotation, I find that Q and E work well and save me some hassle.

You can also change the rotation.

To cheat or not to cheat?

In your casino, in many of the items that their valets, etc. can use, you have the option of activating fraudulent tourists. However, by doing this, you remove the ability for the thing to be used by agents.

Scamming tourists will earn you money, there is no consequence for this.

I advise you to have a mix of scams and no scam setups so that you can win some extra money from your casino and get agents to lower their resolve and skills.

With lower skills, agents will not deactivate your traps and will be hit by them.

Officers escape during questioning or while in prison

I have found that this usually happens if your resolution is still too high.

When an enemy is taken to a cell, your resolution will decrease until it reaches zero. I have found that interrogating them at this point almost always results in a 100% success rate.

As for the escape, it happens from time to time but only from the most advanced agents. Have guard posts outside the prison gates for this purpose.

Dropout or death spiral

Anyone who has had many body bags littering their guarida After a fight with a super agent you are more than likely aware of the defection spiral that occurs due to low morale due to todos bodies, which leads to bodies taking longer to clear, which leads to more defections.

To solve this, build a decent number of incinerators. Maybe you even have an incinerator-only power room.

To explain it, only one minion can use an incinerator at a time. This includes travel time.

The more incinerators you have, the more minions will actively clean the bodies at the same time. I have not had churn coils since I started using more incinerators.
