Myst - Spaceship Sound Puzzle Solution

This is an easy method, as instead of matching the sounds, the keys are combined to solve the puzzle. Deep down, I have an even easier method, but for those who don't want that route, here's what they do. Starting with the number 1 in the image below, count all the white keys and the black keys leading to the number 1.

• Doing the above by counting all the black and white keys starting from the left side, you will see that it leads to 1, it has 8 keys.
• The number 2 has 20 keys
• The number 3 has 23 keys
• The number 4 has 13
• The number 5 has 6

Building on the above, you now want to move the slider to match the number of keys corresponding to each number. The left side starts with the number 1 and ends with the number 5 on the right.

Note: While the slider is at the bottom as shown, before you tap it, it starts at the default number 1, so on the left slider you want to move it to number 8, in which case you move it up 7 times so that matches that number.

Repeat the same for the last 4 keys and once you are done, move the lever to the right. If done correctly, the linking book will now be displayed.
