Leviathans Subnautica: Below Zero

herbivorous

Here we will talk about herbivorous leviathans.

Lightning bolt

Subnautica: below zero todas the life forms of the Leviathan class

The Alumbrallena is a large filter-feeder that can be found in the Nenufácea biome and in the eastern Arctic.
It is not aggressive and can be interacted with. It is the first herbivorous leviathan you will encounter. It has shiny "ears" / antennae on its head.

BEHAVIOR
Usually it will stick to an approximate depth and move around that area before changing depth.

STATISTICS
It has 10000 health, making it the highest health creature in Subnautica: below zero.
It is approximately 30 meters long.

Young siphonophore garden
Subnautica: below zero todas the life forms of the Leviathan class

The Young Siphonophore Garden is a medium-sized leviathan that gets its nutrients from geothermal vents and has a garden inside it (as the name suggests). Lives in the Tree Spire.

BEHAVIOR
It will move around the biome in a random pattern and will very often fluctuate depths as it "jumps" to swim.

STATISTICS
Unlike the Julioría of the Leviathans from the series Subnautica, the Young Siphonophore Garden is impossible to kill.
It is approximately 20 meters long.

Siphonophore garden
Subnautica: below zero todas the life forms of the Leviathan class

The Siphonophore Garden is a huge immobile leviathan that is also the largest leviathan in Subnautica: Below Zero. It has an ecosystem in it like the juvenile one, you can get into it and it can have fauna inside it (like gross sharks and edible small prey fish). It is found in the Arboreal Needle.

BEHAVIOR
The Siphonophore Garden does not have much behavior, as it does not move and remains above a geothermal vent. It can be seen allowing steam from geothermal vents to enter your body, and it can also be seen expelling excess fluid through an opening in your upper body.
It is unknown whether these huge creatures can move or not. It is located on a kind of crack in the ground in which you can find resources, one of the Siphonophore Gardens is located on an alien artifact.

STATISTICS
It is approximately 110 meters high.

Carnivores

Here we will cover carnivorous leviathans.

Cheleicerate / Void Checerate
Subnautica: below zero todas the life forms of the Leviathan class

The chelicerate is a large carnivorous leviathan resembling acrustáceo. There is one in the purple vents, one in the eastern arctic, and two in the tree needle. It has four distinctive jaws that it can move with bastbefore freedom and that it uses to catch its prey before swallowing it whole. It has long bills along its backbone and translucent webs between each spine and on its fins. It is the first carnivorous leviathan you will encounter.

BEHAVIOR
The chelicerate will generally not stray more than 200 m from its original spawn point and will remain in its respective biome and very rarely wander near the edge. They will most likely attack you if they see you, but only if you get close. It can be seen eating prey fish, cryptosuchus, and gross sharks.

STATISTICS
It has 5000 health and deals 75 damage, if you have less health than this it will play an animation of the player being swallowed whole. Deals 15-30 damage to the Seatruck and 21-33 to the Prawn Suit. It is approximately 40 meters long.

EVALUATION
Avoid. It can be avoided by staying away.

The vacuum chelicerate is practically the same as the normal one, but it is 65 meters long and can be found in the vacuum, after you spend 30 seconds in the vacuum, one will be generated, this will continue once 3 chelicerate from the void or leave the void. Deals slightly less damage than normal chelicerate.

EVALUATION
Avoid. It cannot be helped if you are in a vacuum.

Shadow Leviathan
Subnautica: below zero todas the life forms of the Leviathan class

The Shadow Leviathan is a large Leviathan found in the Crystal Caves and the Architects' Caves.
Two can be found in each respective biome. It is unknown what these creatures feed on, but presumably they are rock borers and feed on the school of fish found in the region, as they have a mouth on the bottom of their body. It can also be a filter feeder, but this is highly unlikely.
It has a bright blue mouth surrounded by jaws that it uses to grab its prey, it will generally spit blue saliva on its prey, but why is unknown.

BEHAVIOR
The shadow leviathan generally moves at relatively the same depth, is never seen eating prey, suggesting that it does not need much food and moves very slowly.
It is seen snaking around crystal formations and sometimes stuck to the floor or ceiling of the cave like a snake, probably to be stealthy.

STATISTICS
It has 5000 health and deals 75 damage to the player, if you have less health than this it will play an animation of the player being swallowed whole. Deals 20-35 damage to the Seatruck and 33-42 to the Prawn suit.

EVALUATION
Avoid to todat cost. It can be avoided by sticking to the walls and moving slowly, make sure you are up or down depending on where the leviathan is.

Ice Worm
Subnautica: below zero todas the life forms of the Leviathan class

The ice worm is a very unique leviathan found in the spiers of the Arctic.
He can be seen devouring the snow stalkers and attacking the beaters.
(Strikers are an item that allow you to temporarily distract the ice worm, if it runs out of energy, the ice worm can attack them). He has armor on his back and has a nose that heats up when it comes in contact with ice and snow.

BEHAVIOR
It can be heard digging into the ice and yelling in the distance when approaching, it will generally pop out of the ice and scare the player several times before attacking it, it is sensitive to noise and has greater chances to attack if you are in a vehicle.

STATISTICS
It will either deal a large amount of damage or kill you instantly depending on health. It will deal a small amount of damage to the Prawn suit but a considerably high amount to the Snowfox. It is recommended to enter the arctic spiers on foot or wear the Prawn suit while you do not have the Snowfox's Ice Worm Attack Reduction Module. It is approximately 95 meters long, making it the largest carnivorous leviathan in the game. Exactly how much damage the ice worm does is unknown as it fluctuates a lot and the wiki does not state how much damage it does.

EVALUATION
Avoid to todat cost, highly lethal. Can be avoided by using a Striker

Note: The Kracharodon is not here, as despite the pda entry calling it a Leviathan-class lifeform, both the wiki and the developers confirm that it is not.

Deceased Leviathans

There is only one deceased leviathan in Below Zero, and that's the frozen leviathan.

It can be located in a cave in the Glacial Forest mini-biome (Glacial Forest can be found in the Glacial Basin) near the Parvan Bunker. It is a large terrestrial creature that can be seen covered in green pustules from the Kharaa bacteria.

Subnautica: below zero todas the life forms of the Leviathan class

It is approximately 150 meters long and was alive approximately 1000 years ago.
It is unknown if there are more of this species alive now, but it is unlikely.

It has two distinctive tusks that it may have used to impress a potential mate during mating seasons, and large armor plates running from its neck to the tip of its tail. It has five huge claws and two huge rows of thin, sharp teeth that it presumably used to kill its prey before swallowing it. Its teeth resemble those of a piscivore (an animal that feeds on fish), suggesting that it lived near lakes or the coast and most likely caught schools of fish or medusas in the mouth before devouring them. Al-An mentions that the creature was bastaggressive suede and shows relief at being frozen in ice.

Here is a tutorial on how to get to the creature:
